As a Relationship Manager for Minnesota IT Services (MNIT), you will be responsible for maintaining the relationship between MNIT Services’ Chief Business Technology Officers (CBTOs) and MNIT Enterprise Services. The Relationship Manager serves as the first point of contact for CBTO’s and non-executive branch customers with regard to enterprise and shared service needs including facilitating the discovery of business requirements. This requires a thorough understanding of the business needs and availability of technical solutions within the MNIT Services Portfolio. IT Services will include: Network, Hosting, Data Storage, Voice, Web Services, O365, Desktop, Conferencing, as well as future offerings such as cloud based services.
The incumbent will identify agency technical issues, research and make recommendations and/or coordinate technical solutions that align with the strategic and tactical direction of MNIT Services. The position also provides information and guidance to customers with regard to financial components, services portfolio, consulting and communication needs.

This position requires a minimum of three (3) years of professional information technology experience.
Experience must include:
IT experience working in one or more of the following technical domains: network services (voice, VoIP, data and video telecommunications), desktop and mobile device systems, hosting, cloud, data storage systems, O365, project management, business analysis, information security, etc.
Project management or coordination experience
A minimum of three (3) years working directly with high level management and organizational leaders
*A Master's degree in Information Technology or a related field substitutes for three years of experience, related Bachelor's degree substitutes for two years, or related Associate's substitutes for one year.

Foundation level knowledge and experience with ITIL frameworks of IT Service Management best practices
Knowledge of central and distributed computing environments and trends toward integration, open, interoperable and portable technologies
Knowledge of security practices for prevention, detection as well as enabling tools for authentication, authorization, encryption, filtering, etc.
Strong problem solving skills
Knowledge of customer service management best practices
Effective communication skills to a wide variety of audiences
Negotiation and conflict resolutions skills to develop consensus between a diverse workforce and clientele
Knowledge of state government financial operations including rates, billing systems and crediting process
