As the Senior Java / Grails Web Developer you will support the agency's custom-developed web-based applications effort for enhancing the Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) and related system(s). You will also work with agency senior management to analyze business processes and suggest and design automation procedures to make the work of the Agency more efficient. You will design and implement large and complex computer systems, supporting existing web-based computer programs. You will also lead other IT professionals in development efforts in the technical design of Agency systems to ensure industry best practices in Java web application and SQL database development.
*Note: This position is temporary and includes full state fringe benefits; it is anticipated to last three years**
Candidates must clearly demonstrate all of the following qualifications in their resume.
This position requires a minimum of five (5) years of experience in developing complete object-oriented Java web applications including analysis, design, implementation, build scripting, and unit testing of the user interface, controller, business logic, and data tiers.
Experience must include:
