Job Summary
As an Asset & Configuration Lead, you will lead, assign work and provide leadership to MN IT Service's Asset & Configuration cross-functional team. You will lead the daily and long-term strategic management of software, hardware, licensing and maintenance within the agency. This includes planning and monitoring and recording software licenses and hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor maintenance contracts and warranties. You will assist in defining and standardizing procurement strategies to optimize technology spend across the organization. You will develop, implement, and manage procedures for tracking MN IT Services assets to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles.


Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must clearly demonstrate all of the following qualifications in their resume:
Position requires a minimum of four (4) years' experience in IT asset management principles, processes, and tools that includes the following:
  • Experience with technology asset management systems and services, software audits and license compliance
  • Project Management/Scheduling experience
  • Experience maintaining inventory

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, Business or related field
3+ years leading teams in an IT environment
Experience using IT Asset Management discovery tools like BMC Discovery, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Application Discovery Dependency Mapping (ADDM), or other similar tools
Expert knowledge of ITSM (IT Service Management) processes
ITIL Certification
Strong customer relations skills
Strong written and verbal communication, Microsoft Office suite skills and senior level negotiation and presentation experience
